Cookies with Jensen

Last night we got to watch Jenson while Brian and Jodee went to a concert for school. He was so much fun. Of course he loved to be defiant to Tyson. I don't know what it is with little kids and Tyson, they love it. He would look straight at him and feed the dog french fries after he had been told not to. I wish I had my camera, but it was at work. He helped me make cookies. We got him up on the chair in the corner and I showed him all the measurements and ingredients. He wanted the dough so bad, but I didn't want to load him up with sugar right before bed time so we would be allowed to watch him again sometime. When it came time to make the dough balls I would scoop some dough and start rolling it up. He would say "no no, no no" and hold his hands out. When I set it one the pan he would sigh and throw his head up. It was so much fun! Hope we can do it again soon...we learned a few things that will need to be baby-proof before she is mobile. :)
his is from my phone taken this morning when she was so tired from getting up during the night to eat and getting up early at 4:30 to play. ***long sigh, it was so nice when she was sleeping through the night a few weeks ago.***

Monday

Sleeping Angel

Man she is ornery when she gets tired, but after ten mins or so of crying, her breathing slows down we are left with a beautiful angel that makes it all worth it.

The best part of Christmas already

Yes, we expected it, but AnnMarie found her favorite christmas present already. The box one of the presents was shipped in. Tyson doesn't like it, he said we may as well tape it up and ship her off, but it's all just fun. I kicked the box and the paper rattled and she loved it! she spent 45 mins in it Friday and another 20 on Saturday. She would kick and pull the paper until she was covered in it. Just talking away the whole time. She was so excited that even noticing the camera wasn't enough to bug her. :)

Thursday

As Grandma says "I'm Addicted"

To my little girl. This morning she was up before me so I couldn't get ready first. We were hanging out instead of getting myself ready, she was just so cute.
Just extra cute today! Getting her diaper changed is always fun.
This look is what started it all.
I know I'm little, but I'm determined to sit up all by myself.
Sitting up!!
Most of her shoes are still too big, but aren't they cute anyway...Tyson and her had fun getting dressed.

I have to tell you how wonderful my husband is. AnnMarie has been doing really well sleeping through the night until about 10 days ago and she started getting up 3 or 4 times a night again. Bless Tyson's heart. Last night I told him I was going to "lay down for 20 mins." 3 1/2 hours later he woke me up asking for help to get her to fall asleep. I felt so bad that he had to do it all by himself (dinner clean up, bath, preparation for today, you name it he had it done). The only down side is my ego took a big hit...I struggle to get it all done when it's the two of us, and he can do it by himself. So much for mom, it's SUPERDAD in our house!

More Weekend Pics

Friday night AnnMarie just zonked...she is so beautiful I had a hard time putting her down to sleep.
She loves lions and this shirt was on sale...when I showed it to her first she was very excited and talked to it. She was a little annoyed that I took it away to put it on her.She really is just not sure about the camera. I can't get her to be ok with it, she freezes up and just stares.

Ringing her hands waiting for our company on Saturday.
Saturday night was just us girls...Dad was fishing. We were playing her favorite game and making all sorts of faces at each other. :O)What's a funny face without the tongueShe loves, loves, loves Tammy. Monday morning when I got to her house she wouldn't have anything to do with me.
Monday night we had to get ready to have the carpet laid down stairs. she was just observing us running around. She got sick of her chair and wanted to play but wanted to be mad. She couldn't make up her mind...but she is fascinated by the spinning rattle!

Monday

A few pics from the weekend.

I'll have to post the rest tomorrow when I have my camera. These are a few from the weekend. Mom and AnnMarie hung out all weekend. It was extra fun because Grandma Sheryl, Grandma Marilyn, Grandpa Doug, Karly, and Grandpa Mike all came to visit. Dad was fishing out of town. He needed Mom there to remind him how to fish...he didn't get anything. ;)
AnnMarie loves to use her tongue to express herself and encourage those around me to stick their tongues out back.
She is starting to be able to put herself to sleep. I laid her down and she started to get anxious and ring her hands. We helped that with some Baby Einstein World Music CD, gentle rocking in the cradle and I stayed by her so she wasn't alone yet. (She gets scared when she wakes up alone, so she is scared to go to sleep alone) She woke up for a second, but was able to put herself back to sleep.
I'm just happy as long as I'm not tired. I love my change table because there are so many fun toys to play with, animals to watch, and games that I want to play with someone.

The only bad part to the weekend was when Dad came home he was sick and AnnMarie wanted him to hold her and play with her. Grandpa Doug and Grandma Sheryl were there to distract. Grandpa got all the tile cut for our entry way so we can get that done before they come to lay our carpet. He did it even though Ty was too sick to help. THANK YOU GRANDPA!!

My First Friend

I've always loved the bathroom because I usually am getting a bath if I'm in there. The last week though I have discovered a friend in the bathroom mirror. She is extra cute and fun to play with. I love to smile and flirt with her.

Friday

Last night Karly and Mike came and hung out. Mike was kind enough to clean our couch set for us...Thanks!! AnnMarie was just so happy in Aunt Karly's arms. It was so much fun just to spend a little time, but again, I wasn't smart enough to take a picture.

This may be a Mom speaking, but I really think I may have the cutest baby girl!

She's pretty much gotten the reaching and grabbing thing down. Just a little fine tuning needed...I think she was going for the lion not the monkey. (Yesterday, she couldn't do this, she could only grab things that were to her side not out in front...every day is something new) She still needs to get down the little silver box Mom carries around and is always pointing at her.

Thursday

Rolling Over and Sitting Up

AnnMarie desperately wants to be mobile. She struggles each day that she is not despite her efforts. I think she understands that she is not strong enough and used to just give up, but now she keeps going and going. She can pull herself into a sitting position (if she can grab onto something). Also, she can now roll over if she has something to brace her foot against and get herself started.
Here is a little of her progression:

First tummy time - trying to get her head up...she gave up after about 30 seconds
Another early tummy time - again just kicking and trying to figure out how to turn over.
The first time she hasn't screamed when laid on her tummy - she had her wrist rattle strapped to the change table to look at and distract her. After 5 minutes or so she ended up on the other side of the change table tummy up - I think she even surprised herself on this one.
With one victory she was gun-ho. This is her sitting up by herself on the couch. After a minute she fell over on her tummy and rolled herself onto her back. Yay!!
Note the shirt - "Cowgirl in Charge" How appropriate as there is no doubt whose the boss at our house.

Wednesday

Fun pics

This weekend we had fun. AnnMarie loves to be outside so we went for a walk. She sat in the stroller for the first time without her car seat (it attaches to the stroller). She loved to be able to look around. We cooked a little and she sat in the jumper next to Chopper watching. Saturday we went to visit Aunt Linda. She sported her "bring on the snow" t-shirt even though it's a little big. Tyson loves to snowmobile...so she is out of luck if she doesn't like the snow. Sunday we took Grandpa to dinner (see below). Monday and Tuesday she was sick...actually, Monday morning Tyson took both carseats to work and we were stranded at first :) Around 9:30 though she threw up in my basket of clean laundry so she would have had to come home anyway. She was stuffy and coughing and throwing up. Doing much better today!!
Ready for my walk.
Daddy's Princess is right...as soon as he walks in the door she cries to be held
Ready for the winter!! Just ask Dad
I'm sick today...

She Sings!!

This was taken from my phone, so it may not be the best, but AnnMarie sings. It is so cute. I used to sing to calm her down, but now she perks up and sings along. It started the other night at Grandpa Bonds when we were waiting for Tyson. I was singing "Do your ears hang low" and paused after the first line. She picked up the next line so we started a round. I'd sing the line and she would repeat (in baby language of course). She would sing for about as long as I did so at the end when I sang one word she would only sing one word. Yesterday was Uncle Mike and Uncle Ward's birthdays so she sang to them.

Friday

2nd time...you'd think once would be enough

The look should have given it away..."I'm up to no good" look

Last night, AnnMarie was a little grumpy so we were playing ups-a-daisy with her. Tyson thought he was recording a video, but is still learning to use my camera. She was laughing and smiling and squealing and we were laughing with her! Just as she reached the top she opened her mouth to laugh and up it came, all over my face...yeah, not fun! I smelling like sour milk all night. It has happened once before, yet I was still playing with her. Tyson thought it was great and that he got it on camera, but no such luck...for him...great for me.

Wednesday

A new week, one long night and a new toy :)

Tyson and I have been talking about getting AnnMarie a doorway jumper. After a eventful Monday evening where I was sick so we didn't really share responsibilities with her, (She stayed up all night for Tyson) we decided to go get one and give our arms a break. We thought the bouncer would give her a little more support than her chair without one of us having to hold her the whole time. Tyson came back with this monster toy. We put her in backwards the first time and she banged her head, but she seems to like it. She sat in it for 20 mins, and then spent another 30 or so looking at the lights and toys while being held. Although it was little more than we thought and it is spacious, I think it will help her develop her muscles so she isn’t so frustrated.

AnnMarie starting to get discontented with just sitting there...she is ready to go!My new toy!
My feet don't reach the floor yet, so we had to use a pillow
Chopper is always curious about AnnMarie and helping how he can, so we weren’t surprised when he was right next to her in the new toy. What surprised me was when she was out and he was still laying by it whining. We decided that the rubber mats on the bottom were getting his attention because they smelled like a ball. When he wouldn’t stop I walked over to lift it up and let him sniff the mats. To my surprise, his ball rolled out from under the leg. Shows you how much I know.

This one is just cute...the first time she really held her bottle, and it was for about 10 mins. Dad snapped the picture!
